Six injured by leak at LG Show plant in S.Korea, says hearth official

SEOUL, Jan 13 (Reuters) – Six employees have been injured on Wednesday resulting from a chemical leak at LG Show Co’s manufacturing facility in South Korea, an official at an area hearth station mentioned.

LG Show, which provides cellular shows to Apple Inc. , mentioned it was trying into the reason for the accident at its plant within the metropolis of Paju, which borders North Korea, 55 km (34 miles) north of Seoul.

The corporate didn’t touch upon any accidents or say if manufacturing was affected.

“The leaked chemical is suspected to be tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide, which is extremely poisonous,” an official at Paju Fireplace Station mentioned, saying six individuals have been injured and brought to hospital.

LG Show closed up 2.3%, in comparison with a 0.7% rise on the broader market, earlier than the accident was reported.
