Police confront asylum seekers protesting at Kent barracks – video | UK information

Police in Kent have been accused of ‘suppressing protest’ after following and recording two asylum seekers protesting exterior the Napier barracks close to Folkestone, which is getting used as non permanent lodging.

A whole lot of asylum seekers are reportedly on starvation strike on the former military barracks, in protest at lack of know-how on their asylum claims, the impression of crowding on their danger of catching Covid-19, and poor hygiene, volunteers mentioned.

Netpol – the Community for Police Monitoring – posted the clip on Twitter, claiming that the protesters had been threatened with fines. Kent police didn’t instantly reply to our request for remark concerning the video
