Man who threw hearth extinguisher at police in U.S. Capitol is arrested

WASHINGTON, Jan 14 (Reuters) – A Pennsylvania man who allegedly threw a fireplace extinguisher at police throughout the riots on the U.S. Capitol has been arrested, a U.S. Justice Division spokeswoman confirmed on Thursday.

The arrest of retired firefighter Robert Sanford of Chester, Pennsylvania, was reported earlier by the Wall Avenue Journal.

Sanford will face three federal felony prices, together with assaulting a police officer, in keeping with the newspaper.
