SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — After 139 years at 807 Franklin St. in San Francisco, a two-story Victorian home has a brand new handle.
The inexperienced residence with massive home windows and a brown entrance door was loaded onto large dollies and moved Sunday to a location six blocks away.
Onlookers lined the sidewalks to snap images because the construction rolled — at a high velocity of 1 mph — to 635 Fulton St.
The home’s journey has been within the planning levels for years, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Veteran home mover Phil Pleasure instructed the newspaper he needed to safe permits from greater than 15 metropolis companies.
